Watkins TELL ME WHY Can anyone tell me why the "war on terrorism" will be any more successful than the "war on drugs"? They are both a war fought against hate. Drug abuse is the result of a hatred of self, while terrorism is a hatred of others. We can put millions upon billions of dollars to fight both, and at the end of the day, the best we can hope for is a draw. No bomb dropped or arrest made will ever curb the hate in this world or keep us safe from the self loathing that is at the root of both. Only love will conquer this hate. Only by becoming students of truth and love will we ever be able to end these wars and all others. Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe 20 years from now after our "enemies" have been beaten into submission, we will sit at the table of brotherhood and still be able to look each other in the eye, knowing that good has prevailed. But after a 20 year war against drugs, countless lives ruined, and still no end in sight, I doubt it. Matthew T. Watkins Macon - --- MAP posted-by: Josh
