WILL DRUGS BE TOLERATED?

As long as we have a law saying that marijuana is an illegal drug, the
police, district attorney and courts have a responsibility to take this
seriously. School districts need to step up to the plate and not continue
to push the controversies under the table. You can't expect the police to
make the arrests if the D.A. won't prosecute or if the local courts toss
the cases out of court. It will be interesting to see what happens.

It was interesting to note that where legalizing marijuana was on the
ballot election day, the voters spoke clearly. Until the laws are changed
the issue must be faced squarely, but will they be? If people understand
that the judicial system is no longer going to look the other way or be
satisfied with just a slap on the back of the hand, the situation might change.

Discipline in and around school grounds must be tightened up, this is a
good place to start.
