WANTS EQUAL TIME

EDITOR: A few weeks ago, Genesis 1:29 was raided by DEA agents in
Sebastopol. The head of Genesis 1:29 is Robert Schmidt, and during the raid
he was arrested for growing marijuana for the purpose of use and
distribution/sale, and for assaulting a DEA agent.

The Press Democrat did not hesitate to glorify what he was doing while he
lived in a residential neighborhood and caused all kinds of problems for
the other residents of Bond Avenue. No one ever wanted to hear the side of
the story from the residential victims when Schmidt was glorifying what he
was doing.

I am a loyal reader of The Press Democrat, as are most of my neighbors. I
am disappointed that your newspaper hasn't followed up with the victims of
medical marijuana distributors. I would appreciate an answer as to why we
can't get the same consideration that you gave Schmidt, and why The Press
Democrat hasn't shown to all of the other medicinal marijuana distributors
the effects of distributing from a residential neighborhood. All we are
asking for is equal time to rebut the glorifying statements Schmidt made.
