GET FACTS STRAIGHT ON QUESTION 9

Re: Erin Breen's Sept. 23 letter:

Opponents of Question 9 would rather engage in personal attacks than talk
about the issues.

Breen's charge that I am from Washington, D.C., is inaccurate. I have lived
in Nevada longer than I ever lived in Washington, D.C. It's time for
opponents to quit mudslinging and start talking about the issues.

Question 9 allows responsible adults to possess small amounts of marijuana
in the privacy of a home or under the care of a doctor. Under current law,
medical marijuana patients are forced to go to drug dealers to get their
medicine.

Question 9 will ensure that cancer patients and other seriously ill people
can legally obtain medical marijuana without endangering their lives every
time they go to a drug dealer to get their medicine.
