DRUG RINGS ARE LINKED TO TERRORISTS

I'm writing about: "Drug rings are linked to terrorists" (9-7-02). Drugs 
and terrorists are linked for one reason: drug prohibition.

Without prohibition, the easy-to-produce drugs would have very little 
value. Thus of no interest to either organized criminals nor international 
terrorists.

When alcohol prohibition ended in 1933, organized criminals got out of the 
alcohol business overnight.

When alcohol prohibition ended in 1933, the U. S. murder rate declined for 
ten consecutive years. Have we learned any lessons?

Not yet.
