TEACHER'S DRUG USE SHOULD GO IN RECORD

The Escambia County (Pensacola) School Board has made a serious and
dangerous error in allowing a teacher they were trying to fire for
reporting to work high on cocaine keep his employment record clear by
resigning. Doesn't anyone protect children?

One School Board member was quoted, "Parents can sleep soundly knowing the
School Board will insure the safety of their children." What about all the
children in Florida?

This agreement allows this teacher to apply with a clear record to other
school districts. Hopefully our elected officials will take the initiative
in passing regulations preventing school districts from hiding the true
reasons for dismissing a teacher so they can no longer be a danger to
children. A teacher working with students high on cocaine is dangerous.
