AMERICAN HYPOCRITES

One thing Connie Woodcock didn't mention in her column about pot
decriminalization (July 21) was that despite the U.S. government's pressure
against Canada not to decriminalize marijuana, everyone forgets that about a
dozen American states have decriminalized weed, at least simple possession.
Aren't the Americans being hypocrites, then? How can they say another
country is getting soft on drugs, when they have already liberalized their
pot laws, at least in several states? This is really the pot calling the
kettle black (no pun intended).
