DRUG TESTING AT WORK NEEDS CLARIFICATION

It is high time the federal Human Rights Commission clarifies the issue of
pre-employment drug testing. The American influence on this subject has
spread to this country with no checks in place for several years now.

Upon applying for a job with such companies, they say they don't care what
you do on your own time, they just want you to be safe on the job. My
question is: How can a joint you may have smoked three weeks ago affect
your ability to perform safely today?

Some say that first toke leads right to crack/meth/heroin addiction. For
some people, that may be true, but for the majority of Canadians who enjoy
the odd puff, nothing could be farther from the truth.
