PROHIBITIONIST AGENDA

Roy Clancy must be very happy he can quote whichever portion of a report 
that he likes to further his own prohibitionist agenda. ("Smoked out," July 
17.) Can Clancy tell us it is OK for a person's life to be ruined, their 
prospects for travel and employment limited, because they decided to try a 
less harmful alternative to alcohol?

Clancy is kidding himself that cannabis use is not wanted by society. How 
else would he explain survey results indicating that up to 50% of the 
population has tried cannabis? He is sadly out of touch and incredibly 
arrogant.
