Passing On Tests The Worcester School Committee has taken the prudent approach in declining to institute random drug testing for students, a recent Supreme Court ruling notwithstanding. The court ruled in an Oklahoma case that drug testing of high school students involved in sports and other extracurricular activities is constitutional. The court correctly ruled that schools have the authority to conduct drug testing if the need arises. Absent that need, Worcester schools are doing the right thing. - --- MAP posted-by: Beth
