I almost started laughing until I realized it wasn't funny. The Canadian government spent $5.7 million to grow medical marijuana. Depending on who you talk to, they harvested between 150 and 550 pounds of marijuana. Do the math. Divide the $5.7 million by 550 pounds It equals $10,363 per pound. The current street price for marijuana is $2,300 to $2,600 per pound. It proves once again that the government can make anything more expensive than it has to be.
