RE: FRED Curatolo's May 30 cartoon. I almost started laughing until I 
realized it wasn't funny. The Canadian government spent $5.7 million to 
grow medical marijuana. Depending on who you talk to, they harvested 
between 150 and 550 pounds of marijuana. Do the math. Divide the $5.7 
million by 550 pounds It equals $10,363 per pound. The current street price 
for marijuana is $2,300 to $2,600 per pound. It proves once again that the 
government can make anything more expensive than it has to be.
