MARIJUANA'S DRAWBACKS HAVE FAMILIAR RING TO THEM

Regarding the article, Keep marijuana illegal, police association
urges (May 29), I am responding to this comment from Dale Orban of
the Regina Police Association: "Marijuana disrupts functions of the
brain, impairing judgment, concentration and short-term memory as
well as the ability to perform normal tasks." Wow, sounds like the
effects of marijuana are similar to alcohol. Perhaps we should
criminalize possession of booze as well.

Oh, wait, didn't we try that already?

Maybe Orban and his cronies can discuss this further over a few
drinks at the local pub.
