MARIJUANA AS MEDICINE

It's unconscionable to me that the U.S. Supreme Court could rule against
medical dispensation of marijuana as a source of symptomatic relief for
terminally ill patients who have no hope other than to die with peace and
dignity, which includes relief from ravaging pain [front page, May 15].

Should the court also rule against dispensing morphine or any other
controversial pain medication and controlled substance used in hospitals?

This is about allowing terminally suffering patients to die in comfort,
something every person deserves.
