FOR KEMBA SMITH, JUSTICE PREVAILS AT LAST

Editor, Times-Dispatch: It appears justice sometimes prevails, as it has in
the situation of Kemba Smith. It appears that not only were the public and
the nation on her side, but also God. Let us thank the Richmond Crusade for
Voters for its part in bringing this matter to the President's and
Congress' attention.

We pray that Ms. Smith will be able to make a smooth transition back into a
normal lifestyle. We as humans with so many faults of our own should not
judge another man, for then we will be judged ourselves.

Let us keep the American dream alive, as in the words of Jesus: "Whom the
son sets free is free indeed." Ms. Smith is in the prayers of the nation.

Karen S. Oliver. Richmond.
