TRAGEDY OF DRUGS

Tragedy of drugs This is just a reminder to the teen-agers who are out
enjoying the holiday season with their friends: Please have the strength
and intelligence to say no to drugs. I pray that they have the wisdom to
realize that you do not have to use drugs to have a good time.

Working in two emergency rooms, I see the danger that people place
themselves in every day due to the use of drugs.

I personally know the pain and heartbreak that drugs can cause. I lost my
17-year-old son, David Crowder, on Dec. 29, 1996, due to LSD (better known
as "acid" to the younger generation).

Don't let the same thing that happened to my son happen to you. Always
remember that getting high on drugs only lasts for a short time, but death
is forever.
