LET'S CLEAN UP GOLD HILL DRIVE

This is to my neighbors on Gold Hill Drive. When I moved here in 1990, this
street was a very decent place to live. There are still some very decent
people who live on the street. But since Jake Alexander Boulevard goes all
the way to Stokes Ferry Road, the automobile traffic has ceased. Now we
have the traffic of drug dealers on bicycles or on foot, and also people on
drugs trying to get money any way they can to support their habit. You can
look outside about any time, day or night, and see these people lurking about.

I personally don't like to have my grandchild outside for fear of what she
might be exposed to. I have four locks on each door that stay locked at all
times. We have a very good police department that I can personally thank,
but they can't be everywhere, all the time.

Please, I ask my neighbors to not hesitate to pick up the phone and call
the police when you see this kind of trash on our street. Let's get our
neighborhood back the way it used to be and not let it become like the
streets we read about in the Post that need cleaning up because drug
dealers and drug users are standing on every corner.
