HEMP BODY ROPEABLE

PEOPLE threw themselves under police cars to protest against a raid at the
Nimbin HEMP Embassy yesterday.

A Help End Marijuana Prohibition embassy spokesman said hundreds of people
from the small northern NSW region also hurled eggs and bottles at police
to show their fury at the drug raid by up to 30 officers.

A police spokeswoman said a 44-year-old Nimbin man was arrested and charged
with supply and possession of a prohibited drug during the raid of premises
in Cullen St. The search uncovered 171g of cannabis.
