UNDESIRABLES DOMINATE MARMET

Editor:

In the last three months, I have had my pocketbook stolen off my front
porch, which subsequently led to my car's being stolen out of my driveway
in the middle of the night.

When I came home from work yesterday, I found that someone had stolen a
Halloween pumpkin from in front of my house.

A word of caution to anyone considering moving to Marmet: Don't.

Marmet used to be a great small town to live in. Most of the residents have
lived here for many years, and everyone seemed to know and respect one another.

However, for the last several years, this town has been taken over by
several undesirable factors: juveniles (who seem to have more than their
fair share of rights) and druggies. Both elements are out all hours of the
night disrupting the town, and the town either cannot or will not try to
control them.

Try to picture the car window shades that say, "Send help."
