The National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws, among others, are painting Crosslin and Rohm as martyrs and marijuana advocates who were harassed by police and well-liked in their community. Without splitting hairs over the issue of drug legalization, pro-marijuana advocates did omit or gloss over some details in their press releases. Among these little facts: the pair had been caught selling cocaine as well as pot, according to local police; the "standoff" began when they tried to set their farm buildings on fire after being arrested for numerous charges of drug and illegal firearm possession; and they were reportedly shot after they aimed their guns at law enforcement officials. - --- MAP posted-by: Larry Stevens
