The workshop was set for 10 o'clock that morning. It is doubtful that anyone who read about the workshop in the paper that morning could have made it to the meeting with any kind of preparation to participate or contribute. This evokes a question. Who were the people who turned up at this "public" meeting? Those who were there (according to Wednesday's RGJ) engaged in some well-orchestrated hand wringing over the inadequacies of the new law. By Friday, the editorial defines this one-sided affair as a "hearing," further enforcing the mindset that medical marijuana use poses some real problems. Please, take a closer, unbiased view of this.
