YOUR "GONE to pot" pun still cracks me up every time. ("Jail hasn't 
gone to pot just yet," Jan. 23). I assume that if Grant Krieger was 
diabetic he would have to surrender his contraband syringes to the 
jail infirmary which is responsible for securing and administering 
his medicine. I suspect that if Krieger required narcotic painkillers 
he would have to visit the infirmary to get and, perhaps, consume his 
medicine.

Now that Krieger's jailers have taken his medicine, I guess he will 
have to purchase cannabis from the guards or switch to heroin like 
the other criminals. How this will benefit society or rehabilitate 
Krieger is a mystery to me.
