POT FOR APPETITE, APPETITE FOR POT

Re: "CMA wary of medicinal pot," July 5.

So doctors have found that marijuana is no better than codeine for
easing pain. The major medical use for marijuana is improving the
appetite and spirit of people nauseated by cancer or AIDS. We have good
drugs against pain. We don't have good drugs to cure nausea. Except
marijuana.

It should still be used to improve sick people's lives. Maybe, someday,
it will be used legally to improve the lives of well people too.
