OLD ADAGE DOESN'T APPLY

I can't believe what I just read.

Denny Kyllo can grow illegal marijuana plants (100) in his attic with
electric lamps, but the police can't use their thermal imaging equipment,
which detects heat, to help find them. It's no wonder the police go to
beyond their means and power sometimes; their hands are tied.

So many times criminals are free to use illegal means to accomplish their
crimes. No wonder criminals aren't afraid to break the law. The police
arrest them and the judges turn them back on the street.

The old adage doesn't work anymore: "You do the crime, you do the time."
