EVERYONE INVITED TO DISCUSSION ABOUT U.S. POLICY IN COLOMBIA

Are you curious about the $1.3 billion the U.S. is spending in Colombia? In
a country where 30,000 people are killed each year, will our military aid
add fuel to fire? Colombians say "no mas" -- "no more" killing.

Should we be spending all or part of that $1.3 billion on treatment in our
own country for addicts?

At 7 p.m. July 2 in the Wilda Marston Room at the Loussac Library, Andrew
Miller and Sanho Tree will address these questions as they discuss U.S.
Policy In Colombia; Adding Fuel to Fire.

Andrew Miller is the acting advocacy director for Latin America and the
Caribbean for Amnesty International, USA; Sanho Tree is director of the
Drug Policy Project at the Institute for Policy Studies in Washington, D.C.
Their talk is sponsored by Amnesty International, Anchorage, and ACALA
(Alaskans concerned about Latin America). There is no charge.

For information contact Diana at 332-2333.
