WHILE WE'RE AT IT, LEGALIZE POT

As a retired alcohol and drug-abuse counselor, I echo your
article.

The federal government once again in all of its wisdom as has driven
citizens underground. In 1924 the Harrison Act made felons of
millions of little old ladies by making their "tonics" illegal.
Prohibition did the same with alcohol.

There are hundreds if not thousands of people in prison for possession
a very small amount of pot. When will the lawmakers learn that
legislation of morals is not their job or their business. How can the
immoral legislate morality anyway?

Drop the drinking age to 18, legalize pot and restore people to their
rightful place as citizens of the U.S. instead of making them criminals.

And yes, I would much rather see some of them drinking than voting.
