BETTER THAN OTHERS?

In his letter condemning the minister for calling for marijuana
growers to be reported, T.A. Goodwin of the Humanist Society (The
Advertiser, 16/5/01) makes two revealing statements.

His first statement refers to being un-Australian. Do humanists really
believe that Australians are somehow different (better) from all other
races?

The concluding sentence in his letter says: ``Don't expect children to
do your dirty work.'' This implies that upholding the law is the
function of the Government only and has nothing to do with individuals
in society.
