HEART ATTACK LINK TO COCAINE

SNORTING cocaine, even occasionally, can give you a heart attack, new
research reveals yesterday.

Use of the Class A drug promotes blood clots which can bring on a heart
seizure, say scientists at Pittsburgh University, USA.

Researchers monitored the heart and blood rates in 14 people aged 23 to 41
given a usual recreational dose of the mood enchancing drug.

All the volunteers' blood was stickier and more liable to clotting just two
hours after the cocaine was taken.
