The safe (?) injecting room will not be in Garema Place, away from the view of the police station, and moved near to Jolimont Centre, the end station of several interstate buses, in a dimly lit area, remote from the city bus terminals. Has anyone considered the effects of this move on the much-coveted tourist industry, let alone the safety of the local pedestrians, elderly people and the university students? And in what way will this diminish the drug trade in the inner city? This is a counterproductive measure this city will regret. Instead of getting more "counsellors'' we should have more police and tougher treatment and laws against pushers big and small. M. De Totth Narrabundah - --- MAP posted-by: Allan Wilkinson
