HILLARY HANDS BACK DRUG LINK DONATION

Hillary Clinton has returned a $22,000 campaign donation from a
businesswoman with links to a Cuban-American drug smuggler.

The First Lady's Senate campaign sent back the gift from Vivian
Mannerud Verble, who was at the centre of a Clinton fundraising
scandal involving a cocaine trafficker now serving a 19-year jail sentence.

Ms Verble, whose company, Airline Brokers, runs charter flights
between Cuba and Miami, was responsible for soliciting a $20,000
donation for the 1996 Clinton-Gore re-election campaign from drug
dealer Jorge Cabrera. It was also returned after he was jailed.

Ms Verble's gift to Mrs Clinton was received in February.
