IT'S A FREE COUNTRY

In response to James Adams's letter to the editor ("Store makes drug
readily available," March 14):

Of what concern is it to you, Mr. Adams, that a convenience store is
selling a perfectly legal supplement (Ephedrine)? How does the sale of
this to adults such as myself directly affect you? Do you get all
riled up about stores that sell alcohol, too? What about stores that
sell cigarettes, coffee or even red meat?

What I would suggest you do, Mr. Adams, if you feel so strongly about
this, is just stop going to the stores that sell these products.
Although I must say that if you were to go out of your way for such a
silly cause, the only one affected would be you.

This is a free country (for now, anyway), and unless our government
feels the need to ban products like these, they won't go away, no
matter how hard you stomp your feet.
