CANNABIS DROPOUTS

LONG-TERM cannabis use more than doubles a student's chance of dropping
out of high school, a national report has found.

It says only one in 10 New Zealand cannabis users have solid school
attendance records.

In the United States, long-term users had a dropout rate double that of
non-users.

The study of 51,000 Australian and overseas students was by the
National Drug and Alcohol Centre.
