DRUG POLICY COMMENT

Re: "Drug Policy Changed," (A-J, 8-24). It's a scary thought that your
paper is promoting to the public that we give up our constitutional rights
without a fight.

Every person who pays taxes has a right for his child to participate in any
and all activities that the school district has to offer. The taxpayer
should not give up their children's rights to be able to participate in
extracurricular activities by submitting them to body searches. Raising
children should be left to the parents of those children.

Let's begin drug testing for people who want to join your church -- that
will keep out the undesirables. No, let's test anyone who wants to meet our
family. That will surely help even more.

The public must understand the true effect of what is trying to be
accomplished here.
