DON'T BURY NEWS INSIDE PAPER

Why did Journal Sentinel editors put the article on the human rights waiver
that President Clinton applied to the Colombian drug war financing package
way back on Page 11 ("U.S. aid for Colombia stirs anger," Aug. 24)? This is
probably where editors put the article on the 1964 Gulf of Tonkin resolution.

Clinton has just sent out $1.3 billion to wreak havoc on the people of
Colombia via U.S-sponsored paramilitaries, death squads, secret police
goons and the Colombian military. Ultimately, his masters wish to widen the
war to a region-wide conflict that will allow further economic and
political repression here in the United States.

The American people have been through this many times. I would hope that,
at least once, the American media would be trying to find out the facts
instead of trying to bury the story.
